Samajwadi party has alleged that the BJP is spreading its communal agenda under the cover of Gramodaya and rural sanitation programmes. SP said the sole claim to fame of the BJP was its communal politics.
The ruling party said with the state assembly elections round the corner the opposition parties particularly the BJP are getting restless. SP said for the BJP stakes are high in UP so they are in desperate search of new tricks to spread the venom of communalism in the state.
The SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhary said here on Monday that ``the BJP has deployed the army of Union ministers to campaign but they have no moral courage to face the ire of the common people and the farmers who had suffered huge damage due to the unseasonal rains and the Union government extended no financial assistance to the farmers’’. He claimed that following the refusal of the Centre, state government came to the rescue of the farmers and distributed compensation from its own resources’’.
He said the people of the state have seen the performance of both the Union and the state government and the people will reward the Samawjadi party government in 2017 state assembly elections.
SP spokesman said `` Modi wave lost wave soon after Narendra Modi became the prime minister and the BJP lost Delhi and Bihar and the party is s all set to be rejected by the voters of West Bengal and Bihar’’. He said as many as 73 MPs of the BJP were elected from UP, but in last two years they were seen raising issues of development of UP not they ever made any effort for sanction of new projects for the state.
Accusing the BJP government of discriminating against the UP, the Samajwadi party leader said `` prime minister talks of the rise of India with the development of the villages while the priorities of the Union government are solely focussed for the welfare of the corporate and the business class’’.
