Congress President Sonia Gandhi assured the people of Amethi that her son and local MP Rahul Gandhi will return very soon. Interacting with locals and Congress leaders at Puredundipur village in Jais area in Amethi on Saturday afternoon, Ms Gandhi said, Rahul would be back soon and then will meet the people of Amethi. later she also had a brief interaction with the media. She convinced the people saying that Amethi is not just Rahul’s constituency but also a place of Gandhi Family.” The Gandhi family considers Amethi and its people as their own,”she said. “We will not leave Amethi at any cost as the people here are like family members”, she stressed. The congress leader, however did not reply on the missing posters of Rahul being pasted in Amethi. She also said that Congress will continue to fight against the proposed amendment in the land Acquisition Act by the BJP government at the Centre.
