Sources in the CBI confirmed that on tips provided by Phool Chanda Yadav and his brother Pawan Yadav, they  searched their residence and recovered `cap’ of a bullet which was fired from a .315 bore rifle and claimed Zia-ul- Haq’s life. The CBI team claimed that now as they already had that weapon allegedly use to kill Haq by Nanhe

Yadav’s son Yogendra aka Babloo Yadav, they will send it to ballistic experts to match the two. The officers claimed  that it will prove to be a  major evidence in getting the accused convicted. The team disclosed that course of  investigation, Phool Chandra and Pawan disclosed  that on the fateful day, when they turned Haq to snatch his mobile  phone, they found the cap of the bullet lying under his body so they removed it to conceal the crime. The CBI  team already recovered their clothes having blood stains which were send for forensic test before dispatching it for  DNA matching with the slain police officer.

Earlier with help of village guard, Manjeet, who was third prime accused for killing Haq, CBI team recovered his  blood soaked pants on last Thursday. The success was made when CBI grillled Manjeet Singh along with two  other killers Phool Chand Yadav and brother Pawan

Yadav, who all were in police custody remand of the CBI for five days which expired today on Monday.  Manjeet  during interrogation confirmed that he worn that pant on the fateful day and that the blood in it was of Zia-ul-Haq.  CBI team later also recovered the SIM cards of Haq which also went missing after his death.

Sources said that since CBI already recorded conversation of another accused Guddu Singh, which he made from  mobile phone from District Jail in Pratapgarh with some  other gang members  so they will likely to take him again  on remand to grill him for the same. The team members are also preparing a questionnaire for Raghuraj Pratap Singh  which they will put before the former cabinet minister  before reportedly filing a closure report  in the case filed by  Parveen Azad, widow of slain Dy SP.
