The Uttar Pradesh Government has taken a decision to promote Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Power Plant based on metering system, on the roofs of Heritage Hotels established under the Tourism Policy-2018.
Principal Secretary, Alternate Energy Department, Alok Kumar, has issued an order in this regard.
He said that Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Power Plant would be set up on the roofs of Heritage Hotels, under the regulations issued from time to time by the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission. He said that Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Power Plant of up to 10 kilowatt capacity is kept free from inspection of the State Electricity Inspector. He said that this provision has been made under the Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy2017.
