Social activists against whom lokayukt, Justice (retd), NK Mehrorta intiated proceedings after his 37 applications of corruption and irregularities in one go, claimed that he was surprised to known that the move was made without issuing him notice to corroborate charges made by him.  ``I just submitted a copy of application of my complaint of corruption and irregularities mostly in Sanjay Gandhi

Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences  which I already made to governor (the chancellor of the college), chief minister, chief secretary and principal secretary (Medical Education) and a probe has been ordered in many of the matter”, claimed Mahesh Srivastava, in his reply to lokayukt. He dispatched his reply after NK Mehrotra dumped 37 of the 40 applications which he sent to him regarding rampant
corruption and irregularities made in SGPGI.

The charge was also madeby Srivastava against Dr Rakesh Kapoor, who was appointed as director of the SGPGI just  last week.  ``Srivastava had made charges without providing any evidence and many of his allegations are personal attack on character of senior officers so I close investigation in 37 of the
40 application submitted by him”, disclosed NK Mehrotra adding that he also served him notice to initiate action not only for filing baseless applications and wasting his time but also for trying to defame senior officers. Denying Mehrorta’s allegation of trying to defame anyone or filing applications having baseless charges, Srivastava further said that he never asked lokayukt to conduct a probe into his applications
but if he (lokayukt) has taken any cognizance of it than he must issue him notice in each of the matter so he could buttress his charges with evidence.
