Senior most IAS officer of UP cadre Shailesh Krishna was re-elected the President of UP IAS Association while Ashish Goel was elected Secretary of the Association. The election of office bearers of IAS association was held during its annual general meeting in lucknow on Saturday.
Rajesh Kumar, Vijay Kiran Anand and Pushpa Singh were elected as Joint Secretaries while Gaur Shankar Priyadarshi was made the Treasurer.
During the AGM the demand was raised for giving officers of 1985 and 1986 batch the scale of Chief Secretary. Association sources said that the government has agreed in principle to the demand but an official announcement is awaited.
Officers also raised the demand for promotion of 1992 batch officers as Principal Secretary and 2001 batch officers as Secretary to the government. The Association demanded that orders for promotion be issued before the model code of conduct comes into force.
The Association also demanded that the academic session of Sanskriti School constructed at Chakgajaria project be commenced from March, 2017. The project is located on lucknow- Varanasi highway.
