The VHP’s 5 kosi Patikrama which was scheduled to start on Sunday started on Monday morning after performing the yajna and religious rituals .the parikrama was taken out by about 35 seers who had come from the Ashram of swami Shiv swami of Andhra Pradesh .
The media incharge of the VHP Sharad Sharma while talking to The Pioneer said that the parikrama covering about 15 kilometre journey on beared foot would continue for 20 days and it would conclude on Oct 13 . The district administration who did not dare to impose ban on it like 84 kosi controversial parikrama of the VHP justifying its stand that though this parikrama was also not traditional but in daily routine the devotees often complete the parikrama of the holy city of lord Rama ,so the religious parikrama would continue during the enforcement of prohibitory orders too .
Despite the orders of the parikrama the district administration did not allow the seers of the VHP camp of the temple city including mahant kamal nayan Das of mani ram chhawni and Dr ram vilas vedanti . Interestingly over hundreds of the security forces sector magistrate and circle officer ayodhya Tarkeshwar pandey were also moving forward with only 35 seers who were completing the religious journey .
On Sunday evening the Anusthan of the parikrama was performed at the VHP headquarters Karsewakpuram by the saints of Andhra Pradesh for the peace and communal harmony of the city of lord rama followed by the construction of ram temple at the disputed site . Sharad Sharma said that the yajna and the religious rituals would be performed daily before going to the parikrama and this parikrama was organized for the saints of south states only
Meanwhile irked seer Dr Ram vilas vedanti who was stopped by the district administration to join the 5 kosi parikrama on Monday flayed the Akhlesh government for its dictatorial attitude and for damaging the democratic religious rights of hindu community . Vedanti said that the Faizabad district administration was functioning like agent of the Samajvadi Party of Mulayam Singh Yadav and was not abiding by the orders passed by it . he said that there was no ban on parikrama but the district administration stopped him to join it .
Meanwhile the district administration had made tight security arrangements in the temple city and on the 5 kosi parikrama route . According to the SSP KB Singh 10 companies of paramilitary forces including the CRPF RAF and the SSB one thousand home guards civil police and water cannon squad were deployed on parikrama route . The security plan of parikrama was being monitored by the magistrates and gazzetted officers in 2zones and five sectors .
