Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mohan Bhagwat said that Sangh does not work under duress or to gain publicity but works to ameliorate grievances of people so that the society could progress homogeneously.
“People often ask why RSS does not seek publicity for the work it does for the society. My answer is Sangh does not work for publicity. Our volunteers work with devotion free from any self interest because we feel if you publicise your work the motto of your work changes,” Bhagwat said while addressing people at Madav Sewa Ashram here on Tuesday.
He said the RSS has a wide network where people work in different fields like education and health. “We are committed to provide cheap health care to the masses because we believe that every citizen has the right of quality but cheap health care facilities in the state-run hospitals,” he said.
“Similarly, we want education should be imparted to boys and girls. WE know that it is only the light of knowledge that can help in dispelling the darkness of ignorance. Sangh operates schools in many tribal areas where Sangh volnteers impart teaching selflessly. This he does because there is no “motive” behind the service he renders.
Earlier in the day President All India Muslim Women’s Personal law Board Shaista Amber met Bhagwat and said she was impressed with RSS Chief. “The RSS does not talk about only about Hindutva or Hindu Rashtra. It talks about holistic development of society,” she said adding: “There are mis-conceptions about RSS which should be dispelled.”
