BJP MP from Saharanpur Raghav lakhan Pal, who is in the eye of storm over Saharanpur clashes and storming SSP, Saharanpur's house, met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Union minister Sanjiv Baliyan in lucknow on Wednesday.
The meeting took place for over an hour at CM’s official residence.
“We were not summoned. We came here to tell our side of the story,” Baliyan told reporters in luckcnow.
It is believed both of them came to meet the CM after former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that the people with Saffron scarfs were spreading terror in UP. Yadav had particularly indicted Saharanpur MP saying he led the mob which ransacked the SSP’s residence.
“Akhilesh Yadav is in opposition. He will level charges against us. We have explained to the CM as to what exactly had happened,” Balyan said and added that none of the BJP leaders were involved in damaging properties.
The Union minister said that whatever the media was showing was not correct. "No one has a footage to show that Saharanpur’s MP or any BJP leader had beaten up policemen or incited the crowd on communal lines. We thought it prudent to put our points of view and hence we came here,” Balyan said.
