Right to Information (RTI) Act proved costly for three employees including two teacher of separate government schools when all of them had to lose their jobs. The action was taken after the probe pointed that either culprits had submitted fake documents or one of them even submitted documents of another woman, having similar identity, to get the job in a primary school at Amethi.

Disclosing the matters here on Friday afternoon, Information Commissioner, Hafiz Usman said that during hearing of one of the appeal filed in his court, he learnt that one Vikas Adiwal, had gone job on compensatory ground after showing his father death certificate at HAV Inter College in Saharanpur. It was also informed that Adiwal was not entitled to get the job. Usman claimed that to confirm the allegations, he directed district inspector of school in Saharanpur to conduct a probe into the matter and submit his findings. According to Usman, he was stunned when the probe report submitted to him earlier this week pointed that Adiwal had forged the documents to get job as a class four employee in the said college. Adiwal father had never worked in the college. He claimed to have now directed to terminate the services of Adiwal and to realise all the money which he received from the college. The DIOS was also directed to take legal action for submitting forged documents.

Usman further claimed that in one another case, an appeal was filed in his court in which a local resident of Saharanpur claimed that one Anita Rani, an assistant teacher at SD Kanya Inter College in Saharanpur, had got job with the help of forged caste and educational certificates and that he sought the two documents from the DIOS of Saharanpur, but so far failed to get it.  The complainant also informed that Anita Rani, a native of Haryana belongs to general category but still she submitted fake documents to get job under the Other Backward Caste (OBC) quota. Usman said that finding the matter very serious, he summoned DIOS and directed him to probe the matter and submit his findings for necessary action. He claimed that the DIOS report corroborated the allegations of the complainant and it was found that Anita Rani forged both caste and education certificates. Usman said that in this case also he recommended similar action of terminating the job, realisation of entire money and to make legal proceedings.

last case was related to Amethi, in which an appeal under the RTI came before Information Commissioner, Swadesh Kumar,  where  Shiela Devi, of Rae Bareli, alleged that one teacher in Primary School at Kanchnao, had forged educational certificates to get government job. Shiela Devi informed that one Ranjana Mishra, selected as teacher in the above primary school, had submitted educational certificates of some other Ranjana to get the job. Shiela also informed that she had sought details of the certificates submitted by Ranjana Mishra but the DIOS of Amethi was providing it to her. Swadesh said that finding the matter suspicious, he asked district magistrate of Amethi to probe the matter. He claimed that the probe report pointed that Ranjana Mishra, submitted educational certificates of another Ranjana and got the job. He said that during probe, Ranjana, whose certificates were used to get the job, had claimed to have no knowledge that how her certificates were used to get job. Swadesh said to have now directed DM to terminate the service of Ranjana Mishra and initiate legal proceedings in the matter.
