A rape accused along with his friend stabbed the complainant to death in Mainpuri district. The victim Mithilesh Goswami (55) lived with his family at Bharathwal kasba under Kotwali police station area. He had lodged a case of rape against Shivam, who is his blood relative, some time back. Shivam was allegedly forcing the victim to compromise on the issue by taking back his complaint in the court.
As the victim was adamant on pursuing the case and get Shivam sentenced jail term in the case, Shivam planned to kill him soon after he was released from jail on bail. Victim family complained that Shivam along with his aide stormed their house around 1.30 pm on Sunday. They said Shivam and his unidentified aide attacked the victim without provocation goading him with knife. The police registered a case against Shivam and the unidentified miscreant in this connection and efforts to nab the miscreant are on.
Meanwhile, a man was hacked to death in Gonda late in the night on Saturday. The victim, Fauzdar Verma (45) of Karma village under Chapia police station was sleeping at his floor mill when he was attacked. The miscreants slit his throat with some sharp edged weapon and fled the scene.
Victim’s family lodged a case of murder naming Ram Aadalat of their village and his two aides- Dilip Verma and Jagdish Yadav. They alleged that Ram Adalat had an old enmity with the victim and he had threatened the victim to kill him some time back. The police registered a case in this connection and started the investigation. Efforts to nab the named persons are on.
