With the aim to invigorate the party cadre, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra declined to get herself weighed in ‘laddoos’ as planned by a local leader and instead made him sit on the scales in Amethi on Wednesday night.
The Congress general secretary incharge of east Uttar Pradesh is on a three-day visit to the state and will visit Ayodhya on Friday.
Surprising everyone, after day-long meetings with the party workers in brother Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary constituency Amethi on Wednesday, Priyanka visited local leader Fateh Mohammed aka Fateh Bahadur’s residence around midnight, where the host had the weighing scales ready.
