Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, was forced to change her route to reach Amhat airstrip in Sultanpur in order to avoid a road show of Aam Admi Party(AAP) candidate Kumar Viswas, on Saturday.
Authorities had a hard time to change the route of Priyanka after she and her husband Robert landed at Fhursatganj airport and were on their way to Amhat in Sultanpur. AAP had taken the permission on the road show from Amethi to Gauriganj to end their programme ‘ Jhari lagao, Baiman Bhagao’. She was proposed to go through Jais- Gauriganj- Amethi but on the last moment their convoy had to go through Jais- Mohanganj- Jagdishpur- Musafirkhana which was a longer route. Due to the longer route, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who reached the airstrip on time had to wait for Priyanka and Robert which led to delay in their road show.
