In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the UP government shifted Principal Secretary to the Governor, Manjeet Singh replacing him with Rajeev Kapoor. Also shifted were the Principal Secretary of Energy and UPPCl chairman and Excise Commissioner on Thursday.
As per an official spokesman, former Pincipal Secretary to Governor, Manjeet Singh has been posted as Principal Secretary of Technical and Vocational Education department with additional charge of Higher Education department. His replacement Rajeev Kapoor was earlier posted as Principal Secretary of Technical, Vocational and Higher Education.
Principal Secretary, Energy and UPPCl Chairman, Sanjeev Mittal has been put on the waiting list and Sanjay Agrawal will replace him. The latter was earlier posted as Principal Secretary of Infrastructure Development, Industrial Development and Executive Director of Udyog Bandhu.
Meanwhile, Excise Commissioner Mahesh Gupta has also been kept in the waiting list and Divisional Commissioner Anil Garg will replace him. Gupta was appointed Excise Commissioner by the Mayawati government and was propbably the only officer who remained untouched during the 14-month old SP government .
District Magistrate of Rampur, Shubhra Saxena has been kept in the waiting list and Municipal Commissioner of Kanpur Nagar, NKS Chauhan will replace her. Ms Nidhi Kesarwani who awaiting posting has been posted as Special Secretary of Higher Education department.
