Anxiously waiting for a positive reply from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Jagdambika Pal, targeted Union Minister for Foreign Affair, Salman Khursheed. He leveled charges of large scale irregularities in distribution of medical gadgets by Dr Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust headed by Sulman Khursheed and his wife louise Khursheed.

Pal, who left Congress just last week demanded a high level probe from the state government. Interestingly, the bungling in the above NGO had been already charged by members of India Against Corruption in 2012 after which state government handed probe to the sleuths of the Economic Offence Wing (EOW). However, the matter was since then pushed under the carpets by the State government while Khursheed’s position has been further elevated by making him Foreign Minister instead of law Ministry looked by him at that time.

``A case of forgery should be registered against Foreign Minister, Salman Khursheed and his wife louise Khursheed as they made a bungling of several crore rupees including Rs 71 lakh in his native town Siddharthanagar”, alleged Pal while making a frontal attack on his former colleague. Interestingly, for the charges which has been defended even by Pal till he was in Congress, were now raised by the former MP from Domriyaganj, on Wednesday. Talking to media persons here on Wednesday evening, Pal gave examples of 24 persons from Siddharthnagar who were untraceable or whom nothing has been given still the official record showed them to have received tri-cycle or some other medical gadgets.

On the issue of his joining BJP, Pal gave no direct reply though he hinted that now he has given up his secular credentials for which he was opposing BJP so far. ``Over 10 crore new voters were not bothered on secular or communal line. They wanted a man who could give governance, generate employment, ensure development and progress”, cited Pal without taking name of Narendra Modi but advocating the line which has been taken by Gujrat chief minister. He even admitted that he went and met the people of his constituency and  felt that the Modi wave which gripped the entire nation is also present in Siddharthnagar.

Sources said that though Pal was still silent on the issue of joining BJP but his inclusion in the Saffron brigade just received a hurdle as he faced strong protest on giving him ticket from Domriyaganj. ``I was committed to fight from Domriyaganj at any cost”, pointed Pal without confirming that it was the only hurdle which he faced in joining BJP. Interestingly, Pal even claimed that he could even fight as Independent candidate as people of the area wanted just to see him in the Parliament. He also remained silent whether any talks are also on with Samajwadi Party as it’s candidate Mata Prasad is not interested in fighting the elections. Pal claimed that all options are open but he will decided only what the people of his area would direct him to do.
