Blaming opposition parties for orchestrating riots in Muzaffarnagar, the Samajwadi Party said that the parties like BJP, BSP and RlD were jealous of popularity of Akhilesh Yadav and therefore have spread a canard against the state government.
"The Samajwadi Party government has won the hearts of people through pro-development schemes it has launched much to the chagrin of opposition parties. Therefore, they have combined together against the Government," SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhry said here on Sunday.
He said that some political parties are trying to do politics over this riot that has killed over 20 people. "The Government will not allow anyone to play politics over dead bodies. The law will take its course and action would be taken against the guilty," he said."The Government is committed to restore peace in the area and ensure no guilty go scot free," he said.
