With an aim to achieve the development target for this fiscal Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has issued directives to the officials to release the budgetary allocation of the projects at the earliest so that work could start at the ground level. In a statement issued here on Wednesday Chief Minister said that he has finalized the development agenda of the state. Accordingly the budget has been passed by the state legislature. Now, the onus is on the officials to release funds at the earliest, he said.
He said Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan has been asked to tell district magistrates to review the new projects announced by the state government and send the proposals for the budget within next two months. “Our government is committed towards the welfare of poor and down trodden. Policies have been chalked out that will bring these poor sections of the society in the main stream. No laxity in implementation of government policies will be tolerated,” Chief Minister said in his directive. A review meeting of the officials will be held on May 18 when DM could air their problems they are facing in implementation of the government schemes.
