Senior IPS officer and social activist Nutan Thakur came to rescue of the sub-inspector, alleged to have killed an advocate in Allahabad on Wednesday. Amitabh Thakur, posted as IG (Civil Defense) in lucknow and his wife Nutan Thakur, also a social activist, claimed to have collected information on their end from

Police outpost Naribari, under Shankargarh police station, where sub-inspector Shailendra Singh’s was posted and also some other places. They claimed that almost all the policemen revealed that the situation had become such that Shailendra was left with no other option, otherwise he would have been killed. SI outpost’s staff told that after the incidence he had come to Naribari where he had said nothing is bigger than self-respect and he was forced to act so.

Thakur claimed that they presented all these facts, along with a video they got, to the DGP, AK Jain on Thursday, saying that it was their duty to present these facts, particularly when the sub-inspector was absconding. They appealed to make a fair probe into the matter and now bow to any pressure of the men in black coat.

Meanwhile, Nutan Thukur also questioned that why govt advocate did not oppose Kailash Chauraria’s appealIJ Thakur has made a complaint before District Magistrate Mirzapur and Principal Secretary law regarding District Government Counsel (DGC) criminal, Mirzapur, for not putting any opposition to minister Kailash Chaurasia’s appeal before the Session Court, Mirzapur.

Thakur has said that the Session Judge’s order dated 10 March 2015 clearly states that the DGC criminal neither opposed the appeal nor the bail application of  Chaurasia, while as per the State government’s legal Representative (lR) manual, the government advocate is duty bound to oppose them. She also said that the minister gave wrong information to the legislative assembly because the Court did not stay his conviction but only the operation of the sentence, on which hearing shall take place on 13 March. She has also requested the two officials to ensure that the same thing is not repeated on 13 March during hearing on stay on conviction.
