No deal between AAP, Congress, says Khurshid

Denying any deal between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said the charges levelled by Bharatiya Janata Party's former president Nitin Gadkari were just a figment of imagination.

"Gadkari should disclose the name of the industrialist who brokered the deal (between AAP and Congress) or tender an apology," he said while talking to media persons at his native place Kayamganj, about 32 kilometres from Farrukhabad.

Khurshid said the people of Delhi had voted Congress to power for three terms but this time the party failed to get their favour and party president Sonia Gandhi was assessing the situation and trying to find out the lapses.

"let's see the performance of the AAP in Delhi,'' he said while terming both the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as "drums" whose beat is heard by the people but they do not hear what they want to say.

The Congress MP from Farrukhabad also criticised AAP leader Prashant Bhushan for his suggestion that India should give up its claim on Kashmir. "Kashmir is an integral part of the country and it will continue to be so," he said.

Talking about the recent controversy over the United State's insult to Indian envoy Devyani Khobragade, the External Affairs Minister said, "When India is according all honour and respect to the US officials in India why are they denying our officials the same courtesyIJ""India will not compromise on any such incidents against its officials," he added.
