The award has been given to Nivesh Mitra in the ‘Governance’ category for excellent online interface provided by it to investors and industrialists for setting up and running their units and enterprises in the state.

The award was received by Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development, and Executive Director of Udyog Bandhu, Santosh Kumar Yadav, from Skoch Group Chairman Sameer Kochar.

It may be mentioned here that the upgraded version of Nivesh Mitra was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during UP Investors’ Summit on February 21, 2018.

Udyog Bandhu’s Executive Director Santosh Kumar Yadav said that 65,000 enterprises had registered on the single window portal for industries since the launch of upgraded Nivesh Mitra. He said that 57,000 applications had been filed through it, while around 45,000 clearances, including no objection certificates (NOCs) and licences had been issued so far.

“As a result of strengthening of single window portal Nivesh Mitra, now it is possible to submit online applications from anywhere, anytime through Common Application Form (CAF).  End-to-end computerisation has been done of 20 departments that provide 118 services to businesses through Nivesh Mitra,” Yadav said.

Instituted in 2003, SKOCH Award is conferred by an independent organisation after recognising people, projects and institutions that go the extra mile to make India a better nation.

The SKOCH Award not only acknowledges exceptional achievers – organisations and individuals – but also spurs institutional guidance and best practices in the industry.
