Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday attacked the move of the Centre to withdraw the high value currency notes saying the prime minister is working in an arbitrary manner and power has gone to his head.

Mulayam Singh addressing a party rally in Gyhazipur on Wednesday also exhorted the youth to bury the hatchet and work for the victory of the party in next assembly election so that the SP could form the government for the fourth time in UP.

“PM ki soch kya hai hume pata nahi lekin desh ki janata unse jada samajdaar hai aur who unko jawaab degi (We do not know what the Prime minister thinks on this issue but the people of the country will give him a befitting reply in the next lok Sabha election”,

Taking serious exception to the prime minister’s statement that ` poor and honest people are enjoying their life and having sound sleep following the ban of currency notes’’ Mulayam Singh said `` prime minister is threatening the people, does that mean that all other people opposing the ban on currency are thieves and dishonest’’, said the SP chief   adding ``the prime minister used the dirty word’’.

Mulayam Singh Yadav was addressing a huge rally in Ghazipur on Wednesday where he kicked off the poll campaign of the party. The rally was organised by the Mafia don Mukhtar ansari’s party Quami ekta dal, now merged with the Samajwadi party.

“Prime minister is acting in an arbitrary manner. Democracy does not mean acting in arbitrary manner. The people won’t accept this kind of behaviour. Common people may be poor and illiterate but they are wise enough to see through the game of the politicians and decided what is best for them’’, said the SP supremo.

Accusing the prime minister of being arrogant SP supremo said `` prdhan manti ghamand mein chur hai (power has gone to his head) . I want to caution then prime minister that he should take all the stake holders into confidence while formulation major policies   and take everybody along, but the prime minister is acting in an arbitrary manner’’.

Referring to the hardships faced by the common people following the ban on high values currency notes MUlayam Singh Yadav said `` the decision of the Centre has ruined the farmers and the traders , both are like real brothers while one produces and the other sells its in the market and makes available the essential commodities to the common people ‘’.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, the former defence minister also targeted the prime minister on the border skirmishes with Pakistan.  `` prime minister is acting in an arbitrary manner even as the  whole country is united on the security issue then  why the prime minister has not taken all other parties in confidence on this issue ‘’. He added `` prime minister should have shared the details of the government’s efforts to deal with the situation on the internal border in Kashmir and he could have got some valuable suggestions’’.

“It is intriguing as to what gives the courage to Pakistan to violate the borders even as the whole country is united behind the government. Our brave jawans are fighting the battle and laying down their lives for the cause of the nation’’, said the SP chief.

Referring to the feud in the party SP supremo said `` enough is enough, there should be end to the factionalism in the party and everybody is the member of the samajwadi party not the member of one or the other faction’’. Mulayam Singh Yadav also expressed his displeasure over the repeated slogan shouting by the youth in favour of the Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

SP supremo reminded then `` you should not raise slogans to please somebody but to strengthen the party. I won’t live forever and ultimately you have to take over the reins of the party and your conduct should be within the framework of the party ideology and discipline’’.

Without naming anyone SP supremo said `` all those indulging in whisper campaign and back biting are weakening the party but they have failed to damaging the party. If you don’t agree  with me then come face to face and tell me I will listen and you  can tell your side of the story within the frame work of the discipline but stop the whisper campaign’’.

Defending the merger of the QEd with the SP , the party supremo said `` despite the intense opposition from different quarters in the party Shivpal Yadav managed the merger of  the QEd with the SP and its going to immensely the party in eastern UP districts’’.
