Mulayam and his son insulting dalit icon: Mayawati

PNS

Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supremo Mayawati lambasted Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son chief minister Akhilesh Yadav for insulting the dalit icons including Dr B R Ambedkar through their reported statements. “Mulayam and his ‘Babua’ (Small child) son were only insulting the dalit icons and even saying that the elephants in the memorials and parks remained standing for last 9-years. Are their statues at the lohia and Janeshwar Mishra Parks in the state capital are not standingIJ,” she asked.

Addressing a public meeting on the occasion of the 61st death anniversary of the Dr B R Ambedkar at the Ambedkar Samajik aur Parivartab Sthal here on Tuesday morning, Mayawati further said that the ‘Babua’ is dreaming about elephants in his sleep too. “But by repeatedly mentioning about elephants, Babua is indirectly help us in the campaign to publicity our election symbol,” she asserted. “A person who is making such childish comments all along cannot be a mature person but can only be a ‘babua’....” The BSP president is using ‘babua’ term for Akhilesh as a counter to the Chief Minister’s reference to her as ‘bua’(aunt).

“Mulayam should respect Ambedkar as due to him, he had gone so high in politics otherwise he could be serving as a slave to any upper caste leader,” she further said while attributing that Dr Ambedkar had forced the government to set up Mandal Commission whose report gave reservation to the backwards. The former UP CM also criticised the SP government for repeatedly alleging that by construction of memorials and parks, the previous BSP government had misused the funds. “I can say that the real misuse of funds was the extravanza at the Saifai mahatsov where crores of rupees were spent for entertainment of a family. Besides all the memorials and the parks constructed by BSP were collecting entry fees from the visitors giving a big revenue to the government,” she pointed.

Mayawati also questioned on why the Samajwadi Party government was confused over declaring December 6 as a public holiday. “The head of the SP government first cancels the holiday on Ambedkar death anniversary and then revokes it...this proves 100 per cent that he is actually a babua,” she said, targeting Akhilesh.
