The Monsoon Session of UP Assembly was adjourned sine die after holding seven sittings with the passage of some important Bills.
The House has approved Bills to hike the salary and allowances of the legislators, setting up of a new Jan Nayak Chandrashekhar University in Ballia and amending Mohammad Ai Jauhar University Act to empower the university to establish constituent unit, campuses, off campuses, off shore campuses and virtual campuses across the state.
Earlier, the House had approved supplementary budget to the tune of over Rs 25,000 crore and bills to hike the salaries of the Chief Minister and his council of ministers, to set up couple of universities and other issues.
The House commenced on August 22 and was given an extension for two days.
