PNS

An intelligence input about possible presence of Tehsin Akhtar alias Monu, a key Indian Mujhadeen operative who mastermind serial blasts made recently just before Narendra Modi’s rally in Patna, put the entire security forces particularly sleuths of the Anti-Terrorists Squad  (ATS) on their toes.

The Intelligence agencies are working over night to trace out the movement of Monu who has been suspected to create trouble in Ayodhya just to fuel communal violence.

``Intelligence Bureau passed on some informations on regular basis about terrorists movement but there is no specific input about Tehsin", disclosed IG (law and Order) RK Vishwakarma here on Tuesday evening. However, he did not rule out any possibility and said that sleuths of the

Anti-Terrorists Squad are already on the job. Sources said that ATS team which is already on it’s toes to ensure peaceful rallies of political parties particularly Narendra Modi, is camping in Ayodhya to trace out movement of Monu. His sketches were also said to be put in display at public places.

Thesin aka Monu, who was wanted by UP police for his involvement in serial blasts at Varanasi said to have taken control of UP and Bihar at the order of IM co-founder Yaseen Bhatkal. The security agencies which are already on his `hunt’ were shocked when he successfully executed serial blasts in Panta just before Modi’s rally. Monu, who carries a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh has also masterminded

Bodhgaya serial blasts also in Bihar. As per intelligence reports, Monu had initially planned to target Modi's rally in Kanpur on October 19 but as he missed it so he shifted his target to Patna.  Now many suspects related to Patna bomb blasts have been arrested and  they disclosed about some more plans of Monu after which sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) who were grilled the held militants dispatched advisory regarding movement of Monu in UP and Bihar. Recently Afzal Usmani, an IM Militant who escaped from custody of Mumbai police was also arrested from Bahraich. He reportedly gave some more vital inputs regarding Monu after being jointly grilled by sleuths of Maharastra and UP ATS teams.

According to intelligence inputs, IM has hideouts in several districts of Nepal and co-founder Yaseen Bhatkal and Waqas Pakistani have contacts there so Monu could also slip over there so the intelligence agencies were also keeping a tab on all along Indo-Nepal border particularly

touching Eastern UP. Security agencies probing the Patna blasts claimed that Monu was in Bihar at the time of the blasts and went to Nepal from there. ATS sources claimed that he has been spotted at Rupaidiha village in Bahraich adjoining the Nepal border. UP ATS officers have said that

Monu lived in Bihar to prepare the local module of IM there besides training local recruits in making bombs. Besides Monu, ATS along with both state and central intelligence agencies were also looking for his cohorts Imtiyaz Enul Noman, Tafeeq and Haider on the Nepal border. NIA has also released sketches of Monu and Waqas alias Javed alias Ahmad, the accused in the Patna and Bodh Gaya blasts.
