After attacks on members of fairer sex in over half a dozen districts in the last 48 hours, miscreants further challenged the new regime by attacking a minister’s motorcade in Assembly constituency of Bahraich on Friday morning.
luckily, the minister was not present in the car which was damaged in the attack. The police is investigating but no one has been so far been arrested.
As per reports, said that the official car of Co-operative minister Mukut Bihari Verma was going to pick him up from his Gudri Bazar residence in Kotwali police station area of Bahraich on Friday morning. Verma, is a second time MlA from Kaiserganj seat of Bahraich.
As the car was neared the minister’s residence, unidentified miscreants suddenly hurled stones in which the front wind screen was broken. The miscreants fled the scene before security personnel attached with the minister could reach there and apprehend them.
The police later claimed that efforts were being made to identify and track down the trouble makers. However, no case was registered in this regard so far.
