A minor Dalit girl was kidnapped and allegedly gang raped by three local youths under Kadarchowk police station area of Badaun district on Sunday. The three accused included Omendra Pal, son of SP district backward community cell president Tekchand Pal in Badaun, confirms local police. The other two accused have been identified as Surendra Pal and Narendra Pal. All the three are absconding.
Reports said that the accused left the girl in a jungle after the crime in a critical condition. She was admitted to the hospital and preliminary medical examination revealed that she was raped. The girl was kidnapped when she went to attend to nature's call in Noorpur village and then allegedly raped in the mango orchard. She was then left in a jungle from where she managed to reach her aunt's house when her family members were informed. An FIR has been lodged against the accused and efforts were on to nab them.
Meanwhile in two separate incidents reported from Meerut, two teenage girls, including a class X student, have allegedly been raped. In the first incident, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at gun-point at a village in Mandali area of Meerut. According to the complaint, the victim had gone to her neighbour's house to fetch water from hand-pump when the accused, identified as Naresh, locked her in a room and raped her at gun-point. The incident, which involved two different communities, has led to tension in the village and police have been deployed to keep situation under control.
In the other incident, a class X student was raped by a youth at a village in Daurala area also in Meerut. The 17-year-old girl had gone to relieve herself in a jungle on Sunday evening when one Pappu, who hails from the same village, raped her. Based on the complaint of the victims, FIRs have been registered in both the cases but the cops failed to make arrest in any of the two matters.
