Mayawati poor result has raised big question

PNS

The poor show of Bahujan Samaj Party has raised a big question for Mayawati as what nextIJ Party has won just 19 seats in UP and this number is not enough to win single seat in Rajya Sabha. This is an ominous sign for Mayawati as her Rajya Sabha term ends on April 2, 2018, will have no other way.

After going blank in the lok Sabha elections, the UP elections have given the BSP another setback. BSP has won just 19 seats in this assembly election and for earning a seat of the Rajya Sabha a party needs to have around 35 to 40 MlAs support as per the vote required at that time.

The big question is how Mayawati will go to Rajya Sabha now.

Ten members from UP will retire in April 2018 of which two are from BSP, one from Congress and BJP and rest six are from SP. With 47 assembly members, SP can ensure one seat while the Congress with 7 MlAs could not even think about the RS seat.

BJP and its ally partners with 325 seats, will rule the roost and can win 9 seats from UP in the next RS elections, to give them a strength in the Upper house to fight against the Congress.
