Mayawati criticises Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati again attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for imposing economic emergency through demonetisation and justified bank employees pan-India strike to press for various demands including payment of overtime for working during demonetisation. She addressed two poll rallies in Chandauli and Bhadohi on Wednesday.

“Demonetisation not only created problems for farmers, labourers, workers, marginalised sections and the middle class but also slowed down the economy,” asserted Mayawati.

“Why should bank employees suffer for the wrong policies of the Prime Minister. The Centre must immediately listen to their demands and pay them for working overtime,” she said

``People have not forgotten how Modi dumped their hard earned money by terming it as `black money’. The people who suffered will teach the BJP a lesson in this election. The first five phases of polling clearly indicated that people have rejected both the BJP and Congress-SP alliance. The BSP is set to form the next government in UP,” said Mayawati.

Attacking the PM further, the BSP chief said. “Whether it is west or central UP, Bundelkhand or eastern UP, Modi’s speeches are filled with `jumlas’. The people have hence renamed the BJP as ‘Bharatiya Jumla Party’.”

Mayawati claimed that the Central government was initiating to withdraw reservation to Dalits but promiused that the BSP will never let Modi succeed in his ‘sinister design’ and also provide reservation to poor upper caste people.

Slamming the ruling SP government, Mayawati said that now the public wanted to get rid of crime, corruption, loot, murder, rape and land encroachment. “There is an atmosphere of terror in the state. Once teh BSP comes to power, criminals will be in jail, women will feel secure and innocents will be released from jail.” she promsied.
