State BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya said that if his party came to power, a probe would be ordered against the `misdeeds’ of the governments headed by `Bua’ and `Bhatija’ which have minted public money.
“The revelation by a senior IAS officer about phenomenal money changing hands in appointing a DM is startling. This is one link that joins both the BSP and the SP. If the BSP is selling tickets in this Assembly polls, the SP is exacting ‘fee’ in appointing officers in the district,” Maurya told reporters in lucknow on Sunday.
The BJP leader said that both Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav have misappropriated money. “If the BJP comes to power, it will order probe against these governments and will ensure that the guilty were sent to jail,” he said.
When asked about Mayawati’s attack on the BJP at a rally in Allahabad, Maurya said that the BSP is shaken by ground realities. “She knows that her party is fast losing support as a result of which her leaders were deserting her. The fear of losing polls has forced her to spread canards against the BJP,” said Maurya.
“The rally had been coined ‘sarvjan hitay, sarvjan sukhai’, but the fact is that the BSP motto is ‘ek jan hitay, ek jan sukhai’. The BSP starts with Mayawati and ends with her. People have realized this and hence did not attend the rally. Mayawati’s rally in Allahabad was a flop show,” he said.
Attacking the Akhilesh Yadav government, Maurya said that the law and order situation in the state was very bad. “Crimes against Dalits have increased manifold. People are craving for basic amenities but the Chief Minister only talks about the Expressway. This CM is not concerned about bijli, sadak and paani. He only talks about big projects,” he pointed out.
“Samajwadi Party leaders talk about Narendra Modi in their rallies. They are forgetting that in the 2017 polls, Akhilesh Yadav has to come out with his result card. He needs to tell people as to what he has done for them. Since his report card is a big zero, he is talking about the Modi government,” Maurya said.
