A man was shot at in Titarwara village of Kairana on Monday after he refused to give money to the assailant.
Police are investigating the case.
As per reports, Rishipal, the victim, was confronted by the assailant, identified as Ankit son of Ratiram of the same village, around 5 pm.
Ankit is a tractor driver and had worked for Rishipal.
According to police, Ankit had ploughed the land owned by the victim a few days back and had gone to the latter’s house to seek payment for the services he had rendered.
However, Rishipal said that he would make the payment later as he was yet to get his sugarcane arrears.
This infuriated Ankit and his two aides and they came back with a country-made pistol and shot at Rishipal when he was returning to his home.
Police said Ankit and his aides were absconding.
An FIR was registered against the assailants.
