According to reports, a fire broke out in the house of Aslam Khan of Mohalla Lahori Tola of Chhibramau Kotwali Nagar in Kannauj reportedly due to a short-circuit. Within no time, the fire engulfed the entire house. While other family members managed to go out in time, Aslam and his son were trapped inside as they tried to remove the costly belongings.

Locals informed police, who reached there along with fire tenders, but almost all the belongings, including those purchased for marriage, were reduced to ashes. The cops later also took out the charred bodies of Aslam and his son Ashu Khan  and sent them for autopsy.
