What could be termed as one of the massive exercise to adjust senior IAS officers just before elections, state government shifted 53 officers which included 26 district magistrates and three divisional commissioners on Tuesday evening.
Joint Housing Commissioner of Meerut, Vimal Kumar Sharma, goes as district magistrate of Ferojabad, in place of Sandhy Tewari, who will now join in the same capacity at Saharanpur, replacing Ajay Kumar Singh, who will be new commissioner of Mirjapur, in place of Shambu Nath Shukla, who will now join as principal secretary, administrative reforms, public services management department and director of administrative reforms.
Secretary, medical and health, family welfare, Arvind Kumar Dwivedi, will be new divisional commissioner of Basti, while Dr Roshan Jacob, will now join as DM of Kanpur Nagar, in place of Samir Verma, who goes as special secretary in Panchyatiraj, replacing Bharat lal Rai, who has been shifted as DM of Sant Kabir Nagar, replacing Indraveer Singh Yadav, who goes as DM Faizabad, replacing Vipin Kumar Dwivedi, who will now divisional commissioner of Faizabad, in place of Sanjay Yadav, who now join as home secretary.

Managing Director of PCF, RP Goswami, will be new DM of Deoria, in place of Mani Prasad Mishra, who will now join as Special secretary in the higher education. DM of Hapur, Pamanshu, goes as Special Secretary cum director in Backward Welfare Department, in place of Neelam Agarwal, who goes as DM of Kaushambhi in place of Satyendra Singh, who will now join as special secretary in Home Department. Special Secretary in Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Sumunt Singh and DM Hathras, Suryapal Gangwar would swap places.

CDO in lakhimpur Kheri, Surendra Vikram, will be new DM of Chitrakut in place of Dr Balkar Singh, who goes as Special Secretary in Housing and Urban Development, in place of lokesh M, who will be new DM of Kushinagar in place of Rigjiyan Samphil, who has been also kept in waiting.
