Apprehending her possible harassment by the Centre in the name of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo, Mayawati, announced that if voted to power in the State, she would now take no more construction of dalit memorials or parks but would take law and Order on top priority.
``With Assembly elections just over a year away, Bharatiya Janta Party led Central Government suddenly gathered many evidences against me in the NRHM scam and I apprehend that they would use Central Bureau of Investigation to destablise BSP run to come back in power in 2017”, asserted Mayawati. However, she pledged that such tactics would only help her Party to come with more majority than what they get in 2007. ``
Similar tactics had been adopted by than BJP government in 2003 which helped by Party to get full majority in the Assembly for the first time and now Narendra Modi is doing the same so BSP would definitely going to get gain out of it in next Assembly elections”, Mayawati said. It may be mentioned that in 2003, than BJP government ordered CBI enquiry into Taj Corriodor.
Interestingly, BSP supremo who always talk of imposition of Presidents Rule in Uttar Pradesh in wake of poor law and order situation, now claimed that fearing a certain defeat in UP after rout in Bihar, Modi led National Democratic Alliance government might imposed Presidents rule just before Assembly elections. ``Modi led NDA government might impose Presidents Rule in UP just before Assembly elections so that they could use official machinery to give some better performance”, cited Mayawati while said that all the three parties – BJP, Congress and SP would get no benefit out of it as BSP is also set to come back in power.
Further citing back of power in the State, Mayawati surprised everyone when she said that this time, her government would not take up construction work of any memorials or parks. ``No more dalit memorials or parks when BSP will come back to power but my entire strength will be pushed behind restoring law and order situation along with other developmental work in the State’, asserted BSP supremo while denying that the move to shift from construction of Dalit memorials had anything to do with her Party’s defeat in last Assembly elections.
Coming back to `Dalit’ Agenda, BSP supremo once again criticised both Congress and BJP for poor condition of Dalits, Advasis, and most backward community members. A concentrated efforts has been made by both Congress and BJP to review the reservation as BSP would not sit silently and would start a nation wide campaign to stop the two national Parties from succeeding in their efforts. ``In the name of Hindu Rastra’, BJP is trying to make changes in constitution by reviewing reservation but my Party would not let it happen”, threatened Mayawati while demanding that if Narendra Modi is serious on the said issue than he should come out clarification and reveal the agenda of the Central government. `
`Narendra Modi government is just hitting the interest of Dalits and other backward communities by opening participation of private sectors in the government work without ensuring any reservation condition”, added BSP supremo.
Maywati also advocated that the government should also include reservation for economical weaker sector of other minority community. Mayawati also questioned Modi that if was so serious of welfare for Dalits than why he so far not sacked his ministerial colleague, Retd General VK Singh, who used derogatory remarks against the Dalit community. She also accused NDA government for failing on maintaining international
Relation and cited Nepal as a prime example of it claiming that distance with India is helping China to make a hold over Nepal.
