He raised the issue when opposition was creating din in the Vidhan Sabha as soon as House assembled on Tuesday morning.
“Prime Minister met Dawood in Pakistan. He should clarify as who was there in that room where Indian PM met with his Pakistani counter part. Why no pictures or videos of that meeting were released,” Khan said even as opposition members entered the well of the House demanding debate on law and order as well government machination in conduct of Panchayat polls.
Khan said: “BJP should stop raising slogans and first clarify its relations with Dawood. It should tell people as why PM met dreaded terrorist who is responsible for killing of thousands of people.”

When the House re-assembled after din leader of BJP legislature Party Suresh Khanna asked Azam Khan to prove his allegations. “The Parliamentary Affairs minister has made allegations inside the Vidhan Sabha about PM meeting Dawood Ibrahim. He should prove his charges or apologise to the House,” he said. Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey said that this issue should be taken up under different rule as it is no longer a point of order. leader of Opposition Swamy Prasad Maurya requested the Speaker to expunge the word rioters from Azam Khan’s speech.
