Khan alleges of conspiracy against him to malign his image

Biswajeet, PNS

Alleging conspiracy against him Urban Development Minister and senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mohammad Azam Khan said a concocted news about recovery of four live bullets from his luggage at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi was circulated to malign his image.

‘’It was a conspiracy hatched to defame me. Media played an important part in this conspiracy,”  he said. ‘’ I did not carry any brief case and just had my spectacle cover and a mobile phone with me at the Delhi airport,’’ he told reporters here on Friday.

Khan, however did not elaborate the incident nor he said anything about why the CISF interrogated him. When asked if he will register FIR against the media for this fake reporting the SP leader said that he will consider it.

Khan said that this incident was similar to the fake sting operation done by a TV news channel during the Muzaffarnagar riots.

Media had reported that Khan was interrogated at IGIA when he was caught carrying four live  bullets in his hand baggage. Reports say that minister showed his arms license and was allowed to board the flight.

Meanwhile, Khan refused to give any reaction on the ongoing RSS national conclave in the state capital. When asked about the RSS statement that Ram Temple would be constructed by this BJP government at the Centre, he said that a Ram Temple exists since December 6,1992.
