The ashes of Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart and former chief minister of UP, Kalyan Singh, will be immersed in the Ganges on Friday morning.
An urn with ashes will be immersed in the Ganges at Narora's ghat where the cremation was held, family members here on Thursday said.
According to sources, the idea is to take two ‘kalashs’ (urns) to Ayodhya and Varanasi in a Rath Yatra.
A memorial of former chief minister Kalyan Singh will also be built at the cremation site at Basi Ghat in Narora. The Bachcha Park near the cremation site will be renamed as Kalyan Singh Park, sources said.
Kalyan Singh died on Saturday at Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow.
