Kalraj Mishra hopes positive for his party in the by-elections

Biswajeet, PNS

Claiming that the Modi’s magic still exists Union Minister Kalraj Mishra said that Bharatiya Janata Party would do very well in the by-elections despite mis-use of the government machinery by the Samajwadi Party Government.

“Though the result of this by-election is not going to have any impact on the government or future of BJP, there is euphoria among the people about BJP. They are fed up with the mis-rule of the Akhilesh Yadav Government and see BJP as an alternative,” Mishra told The Pioneer on telephone on Friday.

“If you have notices election campaign people talked about Narendra Modi only. And it was not BJP but Samajwadi Party leaders who talked about 100 days of Narendra Modi every where,” he said. “In assembly elections generally ruling party talks about its goernment’s achievement but here Samajwadi Party leadership was kene to talk about Modi,” BJP leader said .

He said that BJP is sure to do well in this bye-election because people have seen the performance of Modi Government. Steps have been taken to reign in corruption and inflation. Prices of petrol have been reduced thrice in a phased manner and there is transparency in government working, he said.

The by-elections will be held in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Thakudwara, Noida, Nighasan, lucknow East, Hamirpur, Charkhari, Sirathu, Balha and Rohnia assembly seats and Mainpuri parliamentary seat vacated by Mulayam Singh Yadav.

All these assembly seats have been vacated by BJP and its ally (Apna Dal in Rohnia) after the members won last lok Sabha election. Kalraj Mishra was legislator from lucknow (east). “I can vouch for sure that BJP will win lucknow (east) seat hands down. Being legislator I had worked for this area and BJP candidate Gopal Tandon will harvest the benefits,” Mishra said.

He said that people are fed up with the lawlessness, corruption and partisan policy of the Akhilesh Yadav Government. Development in the state has come to a naught as Ministers in the government are too keen to protect the criminals, Mishra said.
