District Judge, KK Sharma, on Saturday, ordered judicial probe into custodial death of accused in the case of serial blast in courts. Following the court’s order, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Pramod Kumar Tyagi had directed additional CJM Bhupendra Rai to submit the inquiry report within 15 days.
It may be noted that accused Mujahid along with four other was named in the serial blast case and he along with other accused was to be produced in court in Faizabad on May 10.
After hearing when a police team was escorting Mujahid to lucknow jail, he complained ill health and he was rushed to district hospital in Barabanki. But Muijahid died there during treatment.
After his death, superintendent, district jail, wrote a letter to district judged requesting a judicial probe. The jail superintendent also had also written to district magistrate requesting to recommend for a judicial probe.Taking a cognizance of the letter, the district judge ordered the CJM to ask for a judicial inquiry.
