Posting objectionable remarks against the Party leadership to protest joining of former cabinet minister, Naseemudeen Siddiqui into the Party fold, proved costly for the Organising Secrtary of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), Sanjay Dikshit and UP secretary, Awadesh Singh.

Both the leaders were served notices by the Party here on Saturday evening, asking both to submit their reply for making an anti-Party post. Sources said that the notice was served to comply with the constitution of the Party before expelling any leader and once the reply will be made or not, both the leaders will be shown the door for daring to speak against Party president, Rahul Gandhi.

Interestingly, a veteran Party leader known for his `managerial skill’ had supported the above Congressmen for their posts. He asked them to keep their mouth shut now and he will get the matter resolved later on by getting the notice withdrawn just after issuing a `warning’ in the matter.

Meanwhile, Siddiqui also reached the UPCC office for the first time on Saturday evening.  Talking to media persons soon after reaching the office, Siddiqui said that his first priority is to forward his services to the Party in Phulpur and Gorakhpur Parliament elections and to ensure victory of Congress candidates. He said that later he will work for strengthening the Organisation and would work according to the task giving to him by Party president, Rahul Gandhi. Earlier Siddiqui was given a warm welcome by Congress leaders on his arrival to the UPCC office. He joined Congress in New Delhi earlier in the week.
