Noted Shia cleric and Imam-e-Juma of lucknow, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad condemned the killings of Shia Muslims in Nigeria and shot off an epistle to the Ambassador of Nigeria conveying his angst. In his letter, Maulana Jawwad  said that it was tragic that  the leader of Islamic Movement, Ayatollah Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky  was attacked by the Army of Nigeria which killed scores of innocent Muslims and later arrested Zakzaky.

Zakzaky is the strongest voice in Nigeria against killings and oppression by terror outfit Boko Haram. Jawad said that the attack on Zakzaky shows that the Nigerian Army was supporting the ultra group Boko Haram.

The Maulana said that  the Ayatollah has always raised his voice against the brutality of ISIS in Syria and Iraq and advocated the cause of Patesine.  He said that a few months back, an attack was carried out during the International Quds Day Rally in Nigeria, organized by Zakzaky which points that the Nigerian government and Boko Haram were in cahoots and were serving the Jewish agenda in Nigeria.

Maulana Jawad said that the Shia community strongly condemns the oppression by the Nigerian Army and demands the immediate release of Ayatollah Zakzaky.
