Normal functioning at the Income Tax Department has came to almost complete halt after all the employees of Group `C’ and Group `D’, under the banner of Central Employees Co-ordination Committee, observed two day strike which ended on Thursday.
State general secretary of Co-ordination committee, JP Singh, who is also general secretary of Income Tax Employees Federation, claim that all the employees of IT as well as other Central Government employees remained away from their duties since Wednesday to press implementation of their 15-point demands. He condemned the behaviour of their officers for giving no response towards the genuine demands of the employees which has been now pending for a long time.
JP Singh claimed that if even now the officers concerned would took no cognizance then they would again meet and decided future course of action.
