The Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband has condemned the terrorist strike in Paris and described the act by the ISIS as anti Islamic and an act of savagery. The Muslim clerics of lucknow have also condemned the massacre in Paris by the ISIS. Darul Uloom Deoband had also extended its support to the writers and scholars who had returned their awards in protest against the rising intolerance in the country.  It had said that those who have not returned their awards were also equally unhappy with the prevailing situation in the country

“It’s the high time for the international community to look into the root cause of the existence and mushrooming of such kind of terrorism. The world community should also look at taking judicious action for stamping out the scourge on humanity’’, said Mohatamim (vice chancellor) of the seminary Maulana Abul Kasim Nomani said in a statement on Monday.  Maulana said  “those shedding the blood of the innocents do not belong to any religion as such acts are against the humanity and the only objective of those indulging in such act is to spread hatred’’.

Condoling the death of the innocent civilians in Paris Maulana Nomani said RsRs there is no place in any religion for such acts of savagery and Darul Uloom Deoband has already issued a fatwa terming the acts of terrorism as Unislamic’’. He said the holy Koran has specifically stated RsRskillings of the innocents is the murder of humanity’’.  He added that “the Paris incident is a wakeup call for the whole word  as terrorism  has become the festering wound and it’s high time for the entire world to find a  solution to the scourge and eliminate it’’.

Maulana Arshad Madni, president of the Jamait Ulma Hind, representing the Deobandi Sunni muslim clerics of the country condemning the Paris incident said that Islam does not permit the killing or harassing of any innocent person.

The muslims clerics of lucknow also condemned the ISIS attack in Paris and slammed the organization for maligning the image of Islam across the globe. Darul Ifta Firangi Mahali, the 100 year old seminary of lucknow had issued Fatwa against the ISIS in October terming the activities of the ISIS as unislamic.

Maulana Khalid Rashid of the Firangi mahali said that Allah and Prophet Mohammad have strongly condemned terrorism. “There are many instances in Quran and Hadis which prove that Islam is against terrorism.  Citing an example, he said, a section in Quran reads: “Allah can never like those who spread violence on earth.” Similarly, another section says that any person who kills another without any valid reason commits crime against humanity and the entire mankind.”

Shia cleric and Iman-e-Juma of lucknow Maulana Kalbe Jawad said, “Not only in Paris, any kind of terror in any part of the world must be condemned. Terrorism is a threat to humanity. The attacks in the Paris stadium and in the masjid at Beirut by ISIS proves that these terrorists are not humans and have no religion,” he said.

Another Shia cleric, Maulana Yasoob Abbas said people indulging in violence are far away from Islam and humanity. “Had they been a part of Islam, they would not have attacked masjids and imambaras or killed innocent humans,” said Abbas.

The clerics see the rise of ISIS as a conspiracy hatched by Western Powers to safeguard their economic interest. “If there is absolute peace, who will buy the ammunition,” questioned the clerics.  Maulana Jawwad blamed America and Israel for rise of terrorism in the world.
