An international level player was allegedly raped at gunpoint and later blackmailed by her kin, including a Samajwadi Party leader, in Muzaffarnagar.
The victim finally lodged a report in this regard against the accused
Handing over a written complaint to the officials of the Civil Lines police station in Muzaffarnagar on Monday, the victim claimed that about four years back she went in connection with work to her maternal uncle Mohd Zaki Tyagi’s house where she was detained and later raped at gunpoint.
She alleged that the family members of the accused, including Intezar Tyagi, Rizwan and his wife, also recorded her rape and later threatened to upload that video and blackmailed her and kept on sexually exploiting her for a long time.
The victim alleged that as Intezar Tyagi was also a former gram pradhan of the village besides being an influential Samajwadi Party leader, she did not report the matter immediately, fearing that she would be more harmed and no action would be taken against the accused.
She also alleged that she approached Zaki’s family, including his former village head brother and his wife but they allegedly supported the accused and threatened her.
Civil Lines Police Station SHO DK Tyagi said on the direction of the senior superintendent of police, he got a case registered against all the four accused. Tyagi said that further investigations were on and stern action would be taken against the accused if they raped or had sexually exploited and threatened the girl.
