Union Minister of state for Housing and Urban Development Hardeep Puri will file nominations for Rajya Sabha elections on Wednesday.
In a statement issued in lucknow, state BJP vice-president JPS Rathore said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state BJP chief Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey and Deputy Chief Ministers Dr Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya will accompany Puri to Vidhan Bhawan. “The nomination will be filed at 11 am,” he said.
Election to the Rajya Sabha was necessitated after former Defence minister Manohar Parrikar resigned and became Chief Minister of Goa. Parrikas was Rajya sabha MP from UP.
