Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Sunday promulgated the UP Water Supply and Sewerage (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018.
The ordinance has been promulgated as the UP legislature is not in session and the issue is of urgent nature.
The ordinance has been promulgated to amend the UP Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1975.
The Governor also appointed retired professor of economics, JP Vaishampayan, as Vice-Chancellor of Bundelkhand University for three years from the date of his joining.
He also extended the term of the Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut by one month or till the appointment of a regular Vice Chancellor.
