Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party Government the state unit of Bharatiya Janata party said that Government should not bear the cost of birthday expenditure of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Urban Development Minister Azam Khan should be asked to foot the bills. Party’s spokesman Dr Manoj Mishra said that Azam Khan took credit for organizing birthday party of Mulayam Sigh Yadav. But when it came to clearing the bills the minister is asking the labour department to pay for cycles distributed during birthday bash, he said.

The BJP spokesman’ was reacting to the report according to which two ministers have crossed swords over the bearing expenditure on Mulayam Singh Yadav’s birthday celebration. While Azam Khan wants that the labour department should bear the cost of the entire function, the labour Minister Shahid Manjoor refused to do so. Azam Khan claimed that as bi-cycles were distributed during the birthday function of Yadav on November 21, hence it is the responsibility of the labour department to bear the cost of function.

According to report Additional labour commissioner of Rampur Mukesh Kumar Dixit apprised the minister about the demand of  Khan. But the labour department is not ready to listen to Khan. Now the matter is pending with Chief Minister’s secretariat. “Khan had said that the funds to celebrate Yadav;s birthday was given by Taliban. If the terrorist organisations has funded the celebration why he has asked a government department to bear the cost,” the spokesman said.
