Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Kumar Lallu on Friday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party government, alleging that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was only lying in the rallies being held with government money.
Lallu said that the BJP government made Uttar Pradesh number one in unemployment, inflation and atrocities on women and now under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the people had made up their minds to throw out the Yogi Adityanath-led government.
According to a UPCC official communiqué released here on Friday evening, Lallu said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was continuously lying in the rallies being held with government money. He said in the rallies of Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, instead of talking on the issues of public concern, unrestrained talk was going on that has nothing to do with the development of Uttar Pradesh. He said that BJP gave 30 per cent participation in ticket distribution to the family members of BJP leaders, on the other hand, Congress was going to give 40 per cent tickets to women.
“Unemployment has increased so much that youth are forced to migrate to other states whereas Congress is promising to provide 20 lakh jobs if its government is formed in Uttar Pradesh, in which 40 per cent will be women's share,” the UPCC chief said.
Lallu said that before making any comment on Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah must listen to the former Congress president's statement and also to the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which Congress questioned burning the stove with drain gas.
He said that Amit Shah was asking for five more years to make Uttar Pradesh number one whereas in the last five years, Uttar Pradesh had become number one in crime, atrocities on women and unemployment.
“People's income has decreased and inflation has increased. Amit Shah does not say anything on the oxygen crisis during the COVID-19 period and the dead bodies floating in the Ganges,” Lallu added.
Lallu further said that if the BJP government came once more, the migration of youth would increase due to unemployment as in the last five years, He said Yogi Adityanath took no step to ensure jobs which also resulted in increase in inflation.
The Congress state president claimed that the farmers were not getting the cost on the one hand, and on the other they were troubled by the stray animals besides increasing rates of fertiliser and other agriculture inputs like pesticides, seeds etc. He claimed that farmers were left to commit suicide under the present BJP government.
Lallu also accused Yogi Adityanath of patronising criminals, alleging that even in rape cases, the entire government stands behind the accused just to conceal the crime. He said to mislead the people in the name of improvement in law and order, Yogi Adityanath ran bulldozers on their properties. He claimed that the people were eagerly waiting for polls so that they could throw out such an anti-people BJP government.
