In a tragic incident, four children died of suffocation while sleeping at their house Bijnaur district on Saturday night.
The victims of the tragedy were identified as Sadequa (12), Afia (8), Mohammad Faiz (6) and Asiya (2) - all siblings, were found lying dead on Sunday morning. They lived with their parents in Kazisarai locality under Nagina police station area. Their father Abbas told police that they slept in a room while lit a hearth to keep them warm and fight cold last night. “On Sunday night when I woke up I found them lifeless state. It seemed that they died of suffocation as the room was closed from all side,” he told to police. The police said the bodies were sent for post-mortem and further investigations are on. The police are verifying the claims made by Abbas.
