The Bharatiya Janata Party’s state unit has found a new way to popularise the Modi brand. It has offered a chance to party’s youth wing leaders to meet Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and have tea with on enrolling 1,000 or more youths in the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha.
“This is the new scheme that the BJP has launched to promote youth in the party. You enrol 1,000 youths in the youth wing of BJP and get an opportunity to have tea with the new party icon Narendra Modi,” state secretary and in-charge of BJP Yuva Morcha, Dayashankar Singh, said here on Wednesday. “A meeting with BJYM president and party MP Anurag Thakur is ensured if one enrols 500 youth,” he said. “The idea is to encourage more and more youths to come into the party fold ahead of the lok Sabha elections,” he said. This is the second time that such an innovative method is being used to popularise the Modi brand in politics. Earlier, the party’s Andhra
Pradesh unit had fixed an entry ticket of Rs 5 for listening Modi’s speech in Hyderabad. The AP unit had said the money thus collected would be given to the relief fund for Uttarakhand. Singh said the youths would be used in the party’s plan to implement the ‘bees youth, ek booth’ (twenty youths, one booth) strategy in which every polling booth would have 20 party youths to ensure fair polling in the lok Sabha election.
