Five policemen belonging to Delhi police were arrested in Sambhal allegedly for lynching an auto lifter on early Friday morning. A case was also registered in this regard and a report was send to senior officers of Delhi for initiating departmental proceedings and putting the guilty officials under suspension.
Reports said that cops of the Delhi police Police occupying (Dl1YC-9249) and (Dl7CK-4617)raided the house of one Khushiram (45), at Sunwar Sarai hamlet of Dhanari in Sambhal and arrested him for allegedly involving in auto- theft on early Friday morning. The cops also seized one motorcycle (UP21AB-1086) from the house and claimed that it was a stolen one. The matter however took an ugly turn when Kushiram died soon after the cops left his house. later Kushiram’s son Raju, alleged that the Delhi police picked up his father and alleging that he was an auto-lifter they brutally assaulted him in which his father received injury on his private parts and died on the spot. The local villagers also protested the cops move making same allegations and they also staged a demonstration demanding action and to arrest the cops. later senior officers reached the spot and they get a murder case registered against the cops of Delhi which included
Assistant sub-inspector, Satish Chandra, head constable, Vijay Singh, and constables-- Praveen Kumar, Sandeep, and Satyendra, all posted at Parliament Special Task Force in New Delhi. All the cops were later send to jail in the matter. Meanwhile a police constable was shot dead in a sensational incident in Ferojabad on Thursday night. Reports said that constable Ramakant (28) and constable Anil Kumar, both posted at Sirsaganj police station in Ferojabad were on patrol duty on Thursday night when they saw three suspected persons standing at Sothara crossing. When they tried to enquire the matter, the miscreants tried to escape so the cops chased and nabbed one of them. later both the other miscreants reached back and tried to get their colleague freed. They also attempted to snatch the rifle of the cops and when they protested, one of them opened fire in which Ramakant received bullet injury and died on the spot. The accused later managed to get their cohort freed and escaped from the spot. A case was registered in this regard and massive hunt was launched to trace out the criminals and arrest them.
